Driving Times and Distances
• Moina
and Cradle Chalet are
150 km west of Launceston and 85 km south
of Devonport.
•
The driving
time from Launceston is around 2 hours.
and from Devonport 1.5 hours.
• The Spirit of
Tasmania ferry docks in Devonport from
Melbourne so this is a great way to travel
to Northwest Tasmania with your own vehicle
and then drive to Cradle Chalet

• Strahan to Cradle
Chalet is 155km and driving time
is around 1 hour 45 minutes.
• Hobart
is about 4 hours via the Midlands Highway
through Ross - or 6 hours 30 mins by the
Lyell Highway through Queenstown.
• There
are three airports in the north of Tasmania,
the largest being at Launceston, followed
by Devonport and Wynyard. Hobart airport
is located east of Hobart at Cambridge.
• Launceston
airport is 20 minutes drive from Launceston
and a 1.5 hour drive to Cradle
Chalet.
